VCI powder provides enclosed systems and interior metal surfaces with protection from corrosion-causing elements.
VCI powder protects ferrous metals from corrosion-causing elements. A silica-free and water-soluble powder, the anti-rust powder protects equipment during storage, lay-up, and hydrostatic testing. Available in two different forms:
Apply the powder by dusting, fogging or dissolving it in water. Removal of powder before restarting equipment after shutdown is not required.
Each pouch (8″ x 11″) contains VCI powder which can protect up to 900 cubic feet of enclosed space. The anti-rust solution can be used inside boilers, tanks, and void spaces inside vessels, turbines, and stream or condensate pipelines. The breathable polyethene sealed bag will diffuse slowly, protecting ferrous metals during extended equipment inactivity, storage or lay-up periods.
A finely grounded version of the 1000SF, the 1000SFG features similar usage and purposes, protecting metals from corrosion and are best suited for applications where a fine powder is needed.
Silica-free and water-soluble, the 1010SFG is a finely grounded VCI powder ideal for ferrous metals, including other metals such as copper, brass, and galvanised steel. It can be applied when wet or dry and does not need to be removed before using the equipment.
Water-soluble and silica-free, 1015 VCI powder protects ferrous metals in equipment during storage, lay-up and hydrostatic testing from corrosion and rusting. It can also be packed together in a pouch emitter which protects up to 15 cubic feet of exposed metals inside an enclosure. The pouch emitter eliminates the need to fog or spray powders.
Water-soluble and silica-free, VCI powders protect the interior metal surfaces of enclosed systems such as:
Apply the anti-rust solution by dusting, sprinkling, or fogging it into an enclosed space using a low-pressure air hose or dissolving it in water. They are safe, environmentally friendly, and free from phosphates, heavy metals, and nitrates.
