Air Column Bags

Air column bags are protective packaging solution that safeguards fragile or delicate items during shipping and transportation. They consist of air columns connected to form a continuous cushioning system.

Continuous Protection

Each air column is made of a strong and flexible material, such as plastic or nylon, and is sealed on all sides except for a small valve or opening. The columns are arranged in a grid pattern, creating a network of individual compartments.

The air column packaging is rolled or folded flat before filling to use air column cushions. Once the item to be protected is placed inside the packaging, air is introduced into the system using an air pump or compressor.

As the air is pumped in, the individual columns inflate, creating a cushion of air around the item. The air pressure within the columns can be adjusted to provide the desired level of protection.

Lightweight and Flexible

The inflated air column cushions effectively surround and suspend the item, providing shock absorption and preventing it from moving or shifting during transit. The columns act as independent air chambers, so if one column is punctured or damaged, the others remain intact and provide continued protection.

Air column cushions offer several advantages over traditional foam or bubble wrap packaging materials.
