A common danger in cargo transport is “container rain” or “cargo sweat”. This occurs when the temperature inside the container reaches the dew point and condensation forms on surfaces such as container walls and roofs.

Effective Moisture Absorption

Humi Dryer strip plus is a container desiccant manufactured from polymer gelling agents and calcium chloride. Container desiccant strip reduces the dew point, inhibiting condensation on container walls and roofs. By absorbing moisture and water vapours, the dessicant strip ensures a dry environment within the container preventing mildew, corrosion, and other damage.

The design of the desiccant strip facilitates the easy entry of water vapour through the flexible packaging film and into the desiccant container bag, where it forms a concentrated gel. While water vapour can enter the bag, the gel remains securely contained without risk of leakage or escape.

The shipping container desiccant bags can absorb up to 200% moisture of their weight. It is also available in custom desiccant sachets of 250 and 300 gm for use in pallet shipments.  The desiccants are environmentally safe for disposal as regular waste and safe for use with food and pharmaceuticals.
