Silica gel is a granular, porous form of silicon dioxide (SiO2), a compound commonly found in nature as quartz or sand. The moisture absorber has a high surface area and can adsorb water molecules through physical adsorption, effectively controlling humidity levels.

The high surface area allows the desiccant to retain moisture, efficiently preventing mould, mildew, corrosion, and other moisture-related issues. We can supply the desiccant in silica gel packets for products such as electronics, leather goods, or food items.
Prevents Moisture Damage
A silica gel containing a colour-changing indicator provides visual feedback about the moisture level. Unlike white silica gel, which remains transparent or slightly off-white when dry or saturated with moisture, indicating silica gel changes colour to indicate the moisture absorption status.
The blue indicating silica gel begins in a blue state when it is dry, transitioning to pink once it becomes saturated with moisture. On the other hand, indicating orange silica gel appears orange in its dry state but shifts to green as it absorbs moisture.
