Proximity Alert System

Description

Proximity Alert System comprises of the Personal Alarm Devices (PADs) and the Collision Avoidance Module (CAM). These are the necessary equipment from the HIT-NOT series needed for the entire proximity alert system to work.

Personal Alarm Device (PAD)

Personal Alarm Devices detects pedestrians and prevent collisions at the workplace. The PAD system is worn by pedestrian and contains sensors that detect the magnetic field mounted on the vehicle-mounted generator. Once detected, the sensor will activate, warning both pedestrian and vehicle operator about the danger.

The PAD offers 2 types of alarms. One is when the pedestrian is in the Warning Zone (Yellow) of the forklift and the other when the pedestrian is in the Danger Zone (Red) of the forklift. When a pedestrian is detected at the warning zone, the sounder will give a series of 3 beeps and the LED light. On the other hand, if the pedestrian is in the danger zone, the sounder will give a continuous beep and LED light.

XL Personal Alarm Device (XL PAD)

The Extra Loud Personal Alarm Device (XL PAD), is specially designed for applications in work areas with deafening noises. When placed within 4 inches of a person’s ear, it registers at a maximum of 100dB and complete with a clip-on LED light on the shirt or vest. Just like the Personal Alarm Device (PAD), the XL PAD is worn by pedestrians. It contains sensing elements to detect the magnetic fields, which will then send alerts to both the pedestrian and vehicle operators.

The magnetic field is differentiated into two zones – Warning (Yellow) zone and Danger (Red) zone. When a pedestrian is detected in the warning zone, the sounder will give a series of 3 beeps and the LED light. On the other hand, if the pedestrian is in the danger zone, the sounder will give a continuous beep and LED light.

Collision Avoidance Module (CAM)

The Collision Avoidance Module (CAM) is a component to the Magnetic Field Generator or the XL Magnetic Field Generator. It has the capacity to function like a Personal Alarm Device by sensing the magnetic fields from a generator and determining the close proximity of another truck. It sends an alarm when two trucks approach close to each other and help to prevent the vehicles from the collision.
